Commercializing Your Food Product: From Scratch to Market
DESCRIPTION: For food producers who want to learn how to commercialize their product. Learn best practices such as: labeling, getting your product out on the shelf, storage, licensing, equipment costing / capabilities and where to find. There will be a networking opportunity amongst participants. Including questions and answers from experts in the food industry. THERE WILL BE 2 SESSIONS: 10am – 12pm Eastern time – This session is targeted for those you have an idea for a food product but are not in business or selling. It is also targeted for those that are in business and are making a product with limited sales (small retail stores or farmers market). 2pm – 4pm Eastern time – Will be for the food producers that are currently in business with sustainable sales, and have brand recognition that are looking to grow sales in supermarkets and working with distribution companies.
