Small businesses are at risk of cyber attacks -- though many are not aware of the very real risks, and small business is more vulnerable than big business in many ways. This workshop is designed for small business owners (no technology background assumed) learn what those risks are and how to deal with them. The workshop includes a panel discussion with regional experts in cyber security, including staff from Baker College's Cyber Defense program.

The workshop also includes a pre-workshop cyber Security assessment provided by the MI-SBDC to help you determine what your business's risks might be. The assessment is an interactive learning tool designed to increase your understanding and preparation for managing those risks. The assessment takes 20-30 minutes but is a powerful and important tool that will help you understand - and ultimately reduce - your vulnerability as a small business. Well worth the time to complete it! Registered attendees will be sent a reminder and link to the assessment prior to the workshop. The assessment is open and available to any business that wants to profile their cyber security vulnerability.
